I'm living my dream everyday.
Farewell Dinner | Tuesday, March 8, 2011 @ 2:54 PM

Two important people in my life: J & J

We broke the usual tradition of having my farewell dinner at Forture because my flight
was scheduled at the earlier part of the night. Well, I was lucky enough to dine there with J
and his family for the last time on the night before I left, and we had a massive crabby feast
together. I love how both our families are such foodies :D

Also, I joined his family for my last breakfast in SG. We woke up bright and early for this meal.
It was worth sacrificing a few hours of sleep for it. So, where did we go? The famous porridge
shop at Tiong Bahru! J had the intention of bringing me to try its famous porridge for over a
year. It's one of his parents' favourite breakfast haunts. Its porridge is really smooth and
flavourful, and its raw fish side dish is really delicious! Has anyone else tried it before? :)
The porridge shop is locate a stone's throw away from the hawker centre.

So back to the focus of this entry...

We had my farewell dinner at Paradise Inn, which is conveniently located at T1 departure
hall in Changi airport. Anyway, I found out that this restaurant falls under the same parent
company as Taste Paradise (colorful XLBs), Paradise Pavilion, Paradise Dynasty and a few
other outlets with different names and cuisine specialties. Wow!

  1. Fatty Dong Po Pork is my mom's favourite. I refused to touch this dish.
  2. Sweet & sour pork with lychee. I have rekindled my love for this dish :)
  3. Stir-fried deer meat with spring onion - always a safe bet
  4. My all-time favourite veggie dish as an egg-of-any-style-and-kind lover!

  1. Hotplate beancurd - another safe bet. I really liked it!
  2. Fish head with spicy bean sauce. J wanted to try this dish. It was really delectable.
  3. Fried salted egg prawns. This dish is one of my favourite dishes!
  4. Fried chicken wings. You don't see the photo here because I sat out of dinner by then.
Give me a chicken steak anytime :p

Damn. I'm feeling quite hungry now. Sorry for making everyone hungry too :p
Hope you guys aren't reading this entry late at night when snacking is a huge temptation.
Aiyah, eat first, worry later? :)

I love our Asian cuisines best :D
