Beefy beef, I love you like I love my beefy boy.
My first attempt at pan-frying steaks wasn't too bad though the meat turned out to be a tad too tough for my liking. I like my steak medium rare. Well, the recipe stated three mins! I didn't dare to "play" with the steak (poke and move it around, etc) because the pros advised against doing so, lest the moisture in the meat dissipates or something. How to achieve medium rare perfection?

70 more days till my flight back home. I love my mom :) She knows how much she will miss me if I don't return. I'm glad she insisted that I return home for the winter break. FYI, I am NOT gonna cook for anyone when I'm back. I will not be a big disgrace or destroy your impression of me as an improving, self-learning cook :D
