Run away with my heart
Run away with my hope
Run away with my love

Hi guys!

Ness's mom whipped up a feast for us on last Thursday and tonight :)

Last Thursday's feast

Fried olive rice, Curry chicken, Minced meat with basil leaves, Mixed veggies, Sweet & sour fish and Tom yum soup

Tonight's dinner was really wonderful. Though I was already stuffed from my teatime treats before dinner, I made sure that I stuffed myself to the point of no return!!! I hate food wastage, but an exception applies at a buffet meal.

Ness's mom is so cute because she doesn't want to acknowledge the praises that we heap on her. She always claims that the dishes she cook are simple and tells us not to expect so much, but they are simply delicious. A far-fetched thought: I hope that my kids and their friends will think well of my culinary skills someday :*)

So here, let me share with you some of the gastronomial delights :D

Assam fish

Sayur Lodeh
(I observed ness's mom cooking this dish. It doesn't seem too difficult... I love dishes with coconut milk! Ultra fragrant and yummy.)

Herbal chicken

Tofu with minced pork and prawns.
From my observation, I think I now have a rough idea of how to prepare this dish :)

Fried vermicelli with prawns

Ness's mom bought us a yummy chocolate cake from Chaddy! She is a really sweet and thoughtful auntie :)

Enjoyed the sweet icing cream, which wasn't too rich and overbearing. I was telling them about this friend of mine who enjoys eating whip cream directly from the spray can! Guess who?

My housemate snapped this shot. Instagram photo effects are so awesome! Ness's mom loves to have cheese with crackers too.

Sherlene (Ness's cousin), Serene and Sylvia! The Three S-es.

Earlier in the evening, Ness was removing her car's window shield when it hit my face and I flinched instantly in my seat.
"I saw that..."HAHAHA

Gorgeous shot of Ness & Sherlene :)

All in all, it was a lovely dinner with great conversations.

The sugary pastry puffs that Amy & Laura baked last night, which will be the biggest donor to my increasing tummy folds :D I had this huge sugar craving after satisfying my sausage craving in the afternoon. They baked banana cake too, which was finger-licking good. I love to be their guinea pig because they are both so talented in the kitchen. They inspire me.

My jeans are getting a tad too tight for my comfort :*( Y'know, I don't think it's right for girls to complain incessantly that they feel fat and not do anything about it. I'm sure it annoys you too. So yes, I am gonna complain less that I am getting fatter as the days go by - even if I am. If I'm fat, I will live with it. Learn to embrace my new curves or something. Ok, but my jeans are really suffocating my thighs and I must do something about my sugar-and-junkfood-laden, calorific diet before I can't fit into my lone pair of jeans here. Here's to a healthier Friday and Saturday...

I have two assignments, one presentation and a test due next week, which will be the final week before the Easter break. It seems like my "hell week" this semester. Dear God, please grant me the strength to get through next week! Amen :D I'll be receiving my jap mid-term test results tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Have a good weekend y'all!
