I'm living my dream everyday.

Yes, we concur :)

Happy duo on the train ride to South Yarra for our brunch date at Lux Bite :D

 Doing the touristy thing

I love the clean layout of the cafe, from the white-washed walls to the high ceiling. It was clearly visible that a lot of effort had been put into sprucing up every inch, nook and cranny of this dining outlet.

These macarons aren't real!

I quote Bernice's alter ego, "It's not the camera, it's the photographer."
What cockiness... *Palm-to-head*

Wouldn't it be nice to spice up your life with a daily dosage of Chai? Hehe.
We started our meal with a warm cuppa organic chai latte, which hit all the right notes. I'll refrain from going into too much details now. Shall save it for the food review entry on our food blog :) Please visit it when it's up and running, everybuddy!

We're really kids at heart :*)

Obviously, our taste buds were spoilt for choice...

Japanese Style Egg Custard with shitake mushrooms and spring onion.
We didn't take a closer look at its description when we ordered this dish, but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Haven't sank my teeth into such lovely chawanmushi in ages :)

この茶碗蒸しはとてもおいしいですね!

I wanted a photo of the chawanmushi with my shiny red nails. B commented that this photo gives off the scary vibes...Haha. Anyway, my plan to keep my nails colour-free before I return to SG failed. Does anyone miss my teacup ring? :D

For our choice of sandwich, we opted for the garlic roasted field mushroom, spinach and taleggio cheese. Omg, it was a cheap return ticket to heaven! The bread crust was lined with sesame seeds and what not, and its inside was moist and delicious!

I strongly recommend this dish to anyone who is intending to dine here, especially if you're a mushroom lover like me! Die die must try!

 We each picked a dessert.
Being a chocolate fan, I settled for Epic Chocolate Cravings. Lined with a crunchy hazelnut base, I savoured every burst of flavour and texture in my mouth! It was so, so, so delectable! The chocolate ball contained salted caramel...Yummy! This is another must-try dish when you dine here :]

B chose the Black Knight of Appetite, which has a cherry mousse-like body and a spongey liquor-filled and hazelnut base. This was equally as good as my choice! Or maybe, just one notch down from my biased POV :p

The cherry sphere contained white liquid substance, which we suspect to be white chocolate...

B bought a couple of macarons to takeaway. This is the first time I've come across watermelon yogurt macarons! In her own words, the watermelon macaron was refreshing! She'll share more about them on our food blog  :) Neo, I'm definitely bringing you to dine here!

The bill came up to $20/pax. Lux Bite is definitely a cheaper dining option as compared to Hopetoun and Mart 130.  Although there are limited choices in Lux Bite's menu, I feel that it is a cafe that really prides itself on good service and decadent treats for its customers. We found out that the resident chef hails from our neighbouring country: MALAYSIA TRULY ASIA. Also, we saw many Asian faces among its staff crew.

Last but not least, the staff were really friendly and not at all surpriced by us snapping away at the interior decor, food and drinks. We noticed that other customers were taking photos of their ordered items too! How cool was that? You will not feel out of place if you wanna whip out your phone or camera to take photos.

Consider me sold :)

We are definitely returning to dine here again next semester!
