I was bored stiff catching up on my rest, browsing through Cleo, checking out my fridge at regular intervals on a slow and lazy noon after a heavy dim sum lunch with my folks...
So I doodled on a piece of paper (like the good old days while living down under).
It is a quote that resonates well with me.

Since I embarked on this new chapter of life, my folks have been nothing short of caring and awesome.
Dad is my alarm clock when my iPhone alarm fails to get me out of bed in the morning.
He reminds me to have my breakfast.
He sends me to the train station.
He texts me after he knocks off from work to ask what I want for dinner.
Mom reminds me to take good care of my skin everyday. Hahaha
She nags when I bathe too late at night because she doesn't like the idea of the thick makeup clogging my pores.
She leaves a few multi-vits and iron tablets on the dining table each morning and reminds me to eat 'em before she heads back to bed.
She deals with my fatigue and impatience with patience.
She always offers a listening ear when I grumble about how tired I am.
She reminds me not to eat so much, then proceeds to offer me food...:D
These are just their little gestures of love and concern, which I'm truly grateful for.

All along, I was under the impression that the red velvet cupcake contains berry extract/fruits in it. Call me a mountain tortoise, for yesterday was the first time I sank my teeth into a chocolatey red velvet cupcake baked by my talented domestic Goddess, Miss Neo Lizhen :)
