I'm living my dream everyday.
BRIGHTON BEACH PART II | Monday, August 15, 2011 @ 10:24 AM

“It's possible to forget how alive we really are. We can become dry and tired, just existing, instead of really living. We need to remind ourselves of the juice of life, and make that a habit. Find those places inside that jump for joy, and do things.”

Hiiiii guys!
So here's the continuation to the previous entry on our outing to Brighton beach...
It was a really fun day out to the beach with 'em girls :)

"Jump and you will know how to unfold your wings as you fall."

"Congrats HBF, you guys are now of the same height!"
Neo is awesome because she allows me to poke relentlessly at her petite figure without teasing me about my thunder thighs or spilling belly.

My HBF and I are supporters of England football team. I used to be a fervent supporter in my younger days, but I guess I lost much interest along the way. My football fever will be raging again three years later, I think.

We were unanimous in our favourite beach house among the entire stretch of colourful houses: The rainbow beach house!!!

I must have a hundred shoes union shots in my mac.

With the two girls whom I shared my bedroom with for four nights :)

I miss you, Neo...How I wish we had more HTHTs under my blanket when you were here. However, I'm NOT missing you snatching my blanket, and me snatching it back :p

"Every child comes with the message that God is not yet discouraged of humanity."

Everybody say HIIIIII to lil' Vera and her handsome older brother! :)

We must have jumped an average of 20 times per person at the beach. After an afternoon of unintended workout, it was time to embark on our foodie trail!

FEASTING ROUND ONE: Dinner at Fiesta Mexican Restaurant

Bernice and I first savoured their yummy Mexican cuisine when J visited in May so this was our second visit here and again, we left the restaurant with love in our tummies. I'm sure the girls enjoyed the meal too! It's better to dine here with more companions as their main courses are quite expensive and their serving portions are better shared between two or more people.

FEASTING ROUND TWO: Desserts at Max B to satisfy the sweet tooth in us :)

Max B's waffle dessert is still my number oneeee choice. Also, it was my first time trying their banana-and-chocolate crepe, which everyone enjoyed tremendously too :)

FEASTING ROUND THREE: BEST-EVER KEBAB Supper at Flemington

Barely two hours after our Mexican dinner, we were chowing down on two huge kebab wraps. Strongly recommended by Bernice, this supper haunt is a must-visit for anyone who loves their chicken/lamb!!! I really regret not making a trip here when J visited in May. O well, this is definitely on the top of my must-visit list when J is here in Dec :) If you have a sweet tooth, try their Turkish delight. One bite is enough for a mad sugar rush.

FEASTING ROUND FOUR: Pancakes at Pancake Parlour
My HBF was too tired at this point in time to muster a radiant smile for the camera!

Our foodie trail coincidentally marked their final night in Melb :(

---

On Sunday morning, it was a mad rush to Camberwell flea market as the girls had to leave for the airport in the noon. I really wanted the girls to experience my favourite flea in Melbourne. It was a cold morning and my fingers, neck and toes were freezing but thankfully, it did not rain!

Haha, I couldn't resist snapping a photo of my shattered nails with the hot choc.
Anyway, if you haven't already gotten the shatter nail polish yet, here's my two cents worth. Don't get the O.P.I shatter polish as I feel that the liquid coagulates at lightning speed. Instead, I'm using the shatter polish from The Face Shop, which is double the quality for half the price :) If I didn't remember wrongly, it's $10.90/bottle.

Ang, I'm gonna give you shattered nails when you're hereeeeee.

Tired faces on a chilly morning

Nothing like a hot jam donut to put a smile on my HBF's face :D

Melt-in-your-mouth awesome sweet potato wedges with sour cream and sweet chilli.

One of the items that I bought at the flea for my dearest jie, who is a big fan of Pooh :) A handmade, brand new iPhone cover, I successfully bargained its price from $15 to $12, which gave me a huge sense of satisfaction. It was an eventful day for me because I bought three other tops too. I think the girls enjoyed their flea experience too! Guiltless shopping here can only be done at Camberwell flea :p

Haha, how cute right? Nursing a sore throat now...NOT CUTE.

May all you lovely people have a good Monday at work and in school :)

Blogging about happy moments never fails to lift my mood. I quote Eric, "after all this is supposed to be the time of our lives".  Let the good times roll!

BRING IT ON, WEEK FOUR.
