I'm living my dream everyday.
Easter Break 2011 | Sunday, May 1, 2011 @ 4:14 AM
Be soft. Do not let the world make you hard. Do not let the pain make you hate. Do not let the bitterness steal your sweetness. Take pride that even though the rest of the world may disagree, you still believe it to be a beautiful place.
Hi guys! Hope this entry finds you well :)
Here's a rundown of my Easter break in photos, no less.
If you're a first-time visitor to Melbourne, you will love shopping at the local supermarkets here because they offer a wide variety of brands that aren't available in Singapore. Here's one of my favourite juices: Apple & Forest Fruits by Original Juice. Estella-my-fellow-berry-lover, please make sure you try this when you're here!
I really love this fuss-free recipe from Kai & Bernice.
Oven-baked mushroom with lemon juice and sea salt.
Super awesome feeling to curl up in bed with a frivolous read and munchies :D
I love berries, tea, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar and curry too much to care...

Kimchi Hut

J annoyed me so much with his auto "Bibimbap" voice cues when we were in Korea and even after the trip. This photo serves as a tribute to him. ♥ JC ♥ SC ♥

My cupcake and I. Keeping my fingers crossed that the upcoming and following week will fly by in the blink of an eye for her :*( Stressssssssss be gone...
I love Sichuan cuisine because I'm a fan of spicy food. I try to avoid cooking fried dishes at home to maintain a balanced diet 'cos the food I consume outside is always so sinful. Sigh, I still have yet to get rid of my crazy snacking habit though it's improved a little this year.
Favourite dish of the night! Fried dough sticks with beef.
The beef was so tender and the dough sticks were so addictive and crunchy.
Just did a quick google search and came across a tip about soaking the meat in pineapple juice, which acts as a meat tenderiser.

Every dish was drowned in chili oil!
Don't bother to slick on lipstick/lipgloss if you're gonna have Sichuan cuisine. The oil will double up as a lipgloss. Free shiny puckers that come with a feast!

Kai is camera-shy.

MAX BEE

Looking at these photos just triggered a craving for my favourite sticky date pudding dessert from PS. Cafe...
Our first Camberwell flea stall over the Easter weekend!
My sales was probably the worst among us girls but I'm happy to have gotten rid of clothes that I no longer have any intention of wearing. I made a profit of approximately 20buckeroos, which is pretty pathetic but it was a positive first-time experience :)
AUSSIE LADIES, WHY YOU NO LIKE MY GIRLY FROCKS?
HALF-FULL

I was looking forward to a yummy feast of BBQ meat at M Kitchen but ended up being mildly disappointed because we didn't manage to get a table with the BBQ top so the chef helped us to BBQ the meat instead. They gave us many free dishes (fried soft shell crabs, steamed egg and an extra portion of meat) to make up for the longer waiting time. I appreciated the good service we received from the staff though I think it'd have been a more enjoyable experience to BBQ the meat ourselves.
A piping hot stew is perfect for a wintry night

Here's Eric attempting the greedy camera pose that I love to do with my food
My magical tools

Does the bin in my room look delicious to you?

Counting down the days till my favourite boy cum personal chef arrives :) Missing our trigger-happy moments together. Also, I will have no second thoughts about lugging my camera around since J will be most willing to help me with its load. As much as I value my sense of independence, I won't deny that it is nice to have someone to take care of me and my needs, especially after two months of independent living...

Four more academic weeks until I'm done with the first semester.
GOTTA STAY POSITIVE AND FIND MY DRIVE.
Have a fantastic week ahead guys!
