Is this a lobster or a crayfish?

Hi guys!

Everyone who stayed up late last night to watch the election results must be suffering from post-election blues and fatigue like me. The excitement has finally died down. Whether there's a dark cloud hanging over you today because you're disappointed with the results, I think it's important to remember that everyone is entitled to their own opinions. It's nice to exchange opinions but it is pointless to impose them on someone who doesn't think alike. That being said, cheers to a better government and future for Singapore :)

Remember, everyone can find fault but few can do better.

Yesterday was a pretty productive day for me up until I got caught up with the election fever. I stayed up till 5am to catch the results being announced live on CNA. Many people lamented that CNA wasn't giving us up-to-date news as they were being fed with quicker updates from The Straits Times Twitter account. Our generation has become so reliant on social media. Anyway, it was fun exchanging opinions and discussing the results with my friends on whatsapp! You guys know who you are :)

I'm currently trying to get in the mood to study. So here's a happy foodie entry to share with y'all before I start on my work. I realised that I have so many photos, which were taken during my summer break, that I have yet to upload!

Dinner buffet at Kushin Bo, Great World City

It was my first time having their dinner buffet! My previous visits to Kushin Bo were always during the day. It was a rather impromptu decision to dine here but I guess we (J, my sis and her boyfriend) were all feeling greedy that night.

At the start of our meal, a waiter served us each a complimentary portion of lobster/clayfish (as pictured above)! :)

I haven't had sashimi in ages....Looking at this photo isn't doing me any favour.

I love to drink Chinese herbal soup! Healthy, nutritious and delicious. Can it get any better?
Extra points for the fusion dinner buffet, which comprised mainly of japanese cuisine.

Love the wide array of chocolates and sweet treats that were available!

J Chew was misbehaving.

The teppanyaki wagyu beef was so tender and juicy. You gotta have a huge serving of it when you dine here to eat your money's worth :p

My sister treated us to this meal :)
It's really awesome to have an older sister who dotes on you and I know that I'm blessed to have a sister who is so generous and easygoing. She has no second thoughts about sharing her snacks, makeup and clothes with me. I really can't wait to repay my sister's love properly after I start working. The first thing that I'd do is to give her a treat to a lavish meal at a nice Japanese restaurant since Japanese cuisine is her favourite!

I miss being in the passenger seat.

After dinner, we headed to Mustafa Centre.
It was my first trip to this mall and I gotta say that I was impressed with the variety of retail products. You can shop for your health supplements, medicine, toiletries, electronic gadgets, snacks, shoes, clothes, sports equipments and more. There was virtually everything you need under one roof!

However, I think I'm better off shopping in the city. I didn't feel too comfortable shopping in such a crowded mall in the dead of the night.

Thereafter, we headed to Geylang for beancurd!

Today marks our 45th month together.

Just realised that if the day comes where we both decide to spend the rest of our lives together, we'd probably have spent more time apart than together. Right-o. I should channel my thoughts back to my work. Anyway, I'll be seeing him in 12 days. I'd like to think that I am the one making more sacrifices than him for his visit here. I really have a lot of work to do till then.

Keep calm and stay sane, chaipie! Random: J likes to point out in our whatsapp conversations that I'm carrying out a monologue. I reckon all bloggers like me enjoy talking to themselves constantly in their heads.

Ok, somebody please comment on this entry so I won't look like I just had a virtual monologue with myself :)

Three more weeks till I'm officially done with my classes for the first semester! I'm really looking forward to my final semester. But before that, I'm flying home seven weeks later!
If you haven't seen my Facebook status update:
Looking forward to my final semester in Monash with only three subjects to do and eight hours of classes a week! Hopefully, life will be a bed of roses :)
My internship at Style: was one of the best decisions I made in 2010.
Have a great week ahead guys!
