Potluck Party | Sunday, June 26, 2011 @ 10:07 AM
Potluck Partehhhh, Everybuddy!
A night before I left Melb, we had a potluck party at Bernice's place to celebrate our post-exams freedom. Everyone was supposed to dress up in shades according to the first alphabet of our names. So for me, it was S for silver. It is not difficult to spot the person who didn't dress up to the theme...
Anyway, photo credits to Gary, who so brilliantly edited and captioned the photos, which saves me the hassle of going into too much details :p
Everyone was pinching food around the kitchen counter before dinner was officially served!
Malcolm pointed out that I held the frying ladle abnormally and he linked it to the fact that I can't hold a pair of chopsticks properly too D:
It wasn't too bad a first attempt. Sadly, there isn't a picture of the final product because it didn't look visually delightful, haha. Good job nonetheless, B!

When B asked me what "cream of tartar" was, I told her that it was tartar sauce. I was terribly wrong! Well, everyone who is as ignorant as me now learns something: Cream of Tartar exists in powder form.

Everyone served their best dish forward! :D

The mushrooms were to-die-for :D

Kai attempted to prepare garlic bread the Masterchef way, whereby he baked the garlic together with the bread until the garlic became soft and mushy, and then he smeared it atop the bread crisps...

So auntie-like to have Nando's chilli packets at home...I have them too :p

Kudos to Gary for adding a lovely finishing touch to this photo! :)

Don't ask me why we were racking our brains so hard after our Japanese exam, which was challenging...
Trust Gary to come up with this kinda caption! Hahaha dohhhh!

GAO YUPEI ME MONEY

Presenting to you the star dish of the night: Burbur Pulut Hitam by Gary!
This dessert was the real deal. SLURPS! :)

I'm loving my life back home!
Says who the weather is horrible? I slept without the air-con or fan switched on last night and didn't even perspire when I woke up this morning! I'm a totally pro-summer person, so go on and consume me, HEAT!
It's nice to wake up to the sound of my parents' bantering. Just this morning, my mom asked my Dad if he missed kissing me after he planted a kiss on my face while I was asleep. Hehe, it sure rocks to be the baby of the family :)

I'm heading out soon to celebrate a belated Father's Day with my family.
Dim Sum Dim Sum Dim Sum Dim Sum Dim Sum Dim Sum Dim Sum Dim Sum Dim Sum :D
