I'm living my dream everyday.
Back to the open arms of a love that's waiting there | Tuesday, August 23, 2011 @ 8:20 AM

This room feels empty, this bed feels cold
You know this feeling gets me everytime I'm gone
I long to hold you, touch your skin
Lay down beside you, and remind you of us but until then
This hearts on fire, burning across the sky
Anytime I'm not right there, you're not right by my side
You're on my mind
Every kiss I miss it gets me closer to
Coming home to you
It ain't easy this road we're on
But you make it so I always know that you're the one
So don't stop talking till I fall asleep
And when I do I'll run to you and in our dreams we'll meet

 Hiiii guys!

I'm an Internet scavenger at school today because of my capped home Internet :( It really sucks to wait an eternity for a page to load on the Internet at home. Anyway, I had a wonderful weekend, which saw me visiting two new brunch haunts, shopping and having some well-deserved girly fun!

On Saturday, Sherlene and I visited CHEZ Dre at South Melbourne.

The location of the restaurant is pretty obscure, tucked away in the corner of a backstreet, near the traffic junction outside South Melbourne market.

CHEZ Dre has won an award for its restaurant's interior design! But what is style without substance right?

New shoes from Her Majesty! :D

Keeping my fingers crossed that the brown pair will still be available the next time I check it out at Globalize. It's really comfy and great for walking.

SO OLD SCHOOL, I LIKE!

Its scrambled egg crossiant is a must-try!
We both couldn't stop ooooh-ing about the crispy toasted croissant!

Pistachio pork terrine served with apricot (and-I-forgot-what) sauce.
I generally prefer having minced pork to a slab (pardon the exaggeration here) of pork, but this was good because my taste buds didn't detect any unpleasant porky stench. Save for the bread that was a tad too hard to chew on for my liking, I enjoyed the pork with the pickles! Yum yum yum :D

We went for the kill and tried all eight of their macaron flavours! :)
YEP, I LOVE MY FRIENDS GREEDY.
And down-to-earth (random info).

Pistachio, chocolate, salted caramel, passionfruit lemon, orange chocolate, lime and basil, vanilla, and raspberry! My favourites were the pistachio, chocolate and salted caramel macarons!
IT WAS A MAD SUGAR RUSH but I LOVED IT!

Be prepared to queue for awhile if you visit this place during the weekend! We didn't wait for too long though. I think the average waiting time should be 10 to 15 minutes because this spacious restaurant is actually able to accommodate a large amount of diners. Anyway, the wait was definitely worth our time!

 Sherlene and I! :)

Anyway, I'd strongly recommend everyone to visit this brunch place! Laid-back vibes checked, helpful service staff checked, yummy fare checked!

I skipped dinner and ran seven clicks at Bernice's gym later that night. Sigh, it's tough preventing this waistline of mine from expanding, especially with this ageing metabolism of mine. Then on Sunday, I went out with my partner-in-crime for a heavy brunch date. Hahaha, what's the point, YOU TELL ME?!?! The point is, doing something beats sitting around and waiting for a miracle nothing to happen :D

I'll be sure to blog about my brunch date with B soon! Anyway, I just wanna say that I'm thankful to have her in my life. Our friendship is probably one of the best things that has happened to me in Melbourne. Sleepover dates are so much fun!
