HI GUYS!
The fact that we're closer to CNY 2012 than CNY 2011 is a testimony of my proficiency in procrastinating. As usual, here are a backlog of photos...
It's really nice to have an older sister to grow old with.
A week ago, I was sharing with my mom over the phone that "姐姐 is my second mom" :*) I'm ever grateful for all the times she watched my back and told white lies to save my sorry ass. Thankfully, sibling rivalry doesn't exist between us because she is always so willing to accommodate me. I'm so happy that she will be attending my graduation! Best news of the week.

This year, I suggested to my Dad to have a steamboat dinner at home instead of our usual fuss-free reunion dinner at a seafood restaurant. So yeah, we had the best of both worlds and had reunion dinner twice this year !
Obviously too much food for the five of us to stomach D:

With the dinner leftovers, I decided to cook a simple pasta dish for my family! Haha, nothing too fanciful when it's me whipping up a meal in the kitchen.
Okay, let me sidetrack a little. I cooked seafood aglio olio sometime last week! Looks decent right???? It actually tasted quite good. Haha, the garlic was sprinkled in excess. I love smelly breath!

My experience this CNY was a little different from previous ones because I left my aunt's place to pop by J's place for lunch on the first day! It was a huge savoury feast done in a potluck fashion :D I enjoyed it very much.
Chewy has a really cute niece, Ines, who went "woof woof" to Milo and Junior. I was observing the way she was talking to the dogs and it gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling inside! Hope to see her again next year :)

I count prawn rolls, pineapple tarts, bah hwa, kueh bangkit, and rolled cuttlefish among my favourite CNY goodies :) Remind me never to take a photo of an unmixed yusheng again! It looks so unappetizing. Guess it's not surprising that I'm a fan of yusheng since I love my veg and crackers :D
When jie & I were younger, my mom wouldn't allow us to touch the yusheng dish when we had a reunion dinner with our paternal relatives. She was afraid that it'd cause us stomachaches D: So I only tried it for the first time when I was old enough to decide on my own whether I wanted to risk a stomachache, which was probably around the time I became a teenager...

Black peanuts from Taiwan!

It was such a fun steamboat-cum-gambling session at Yvette's place.
Though many things are different now, I'm glad to have met her. She's a lifelong friend for keeps!

Missing you, Yvette.
Leaving her house $40 richer is definitely one of the best memories of my CNY this year :)

CNY dress from Foggiare
NEO & ANG, we gotta celebrate CNY together next year :)
Missing the both of you very much...
On a happier note, I have just submitted my second journalism assignment! The third assignment is gonna be a tough nut to crack. Five assignments for a single unit is really quite a handful...Sigh, at least this is a non-examinable journalism unit. Journalism units are generally non-examinable :)
Have a blessed weekend guys!
