I'm living my dream everyday.
I love you, Mom. | Friday, September 23, 2011 @ 6:09 PM

It’s the tragedy of loving, you can’t love anything more than something you miss.
Hiiii guys!
Here are some pictures from the past week to share with you.
I'm currently working on a feature story for my environmental reporting unit. As I'm pretty uninterested to delve into the carbon tax and climate issues, I've decided to take a little risk and write a story on natural handmade soaps instead. Keeping my fingers crossed that this risk would be well worth it! Pictured here with his wife is my main interviewee subject, who is full of smiles and enthusiasm :)
It was very kind of them to show their appreciation by showering me with some of their products. I'm only keeping the body butter though :) Ang will be bringing the rest back home to distribute. If you don't receive any love from her, you know who's the fishmonger! Haha, Ang, you're not gonna read this anytime soon but you've just been volunteered to be a soap distributor.

Brunch with HRM at Dead Man Espresso
He enjoyed their Skinny Chai too!
Love it when friends concur with my recommendations!
I'm glad I'm not a coffee person because deciding between Chai latte and hot chocolate is already such a chore for an indecisive person like myself.
Dead Man Espresso's BIG breakfast
Herb rosti with poached egg, avocados and smoked salmon...Mmm, delicious!

Brunch date with Saki さん at Huff Bagelry! :)
She gave me a paper fan and a cute keychain that she brought over from Japan!
I'm not a fan of Hello Kitty but I gotta admit that the keychain is really quite cute.
Xinyi, if you're reading this all the way from US of A, I'm safekeeping this for you till the next time we meet :)

Well, the mid-sem break has arrived though I'm not feeling the excitement yet.
I was catching up with my mom over the phone today.
She celebrated her wedding anniversary with my Dad recently...and she bragged of her intention to buy herself a ring, courtesy of my Dad's ka-ching. Hahaha, my poor and clueless Dad. Every year, she complains to me that my Dad did not get her a gift the year before, but after complaining to me, she'd proceed to buy herself a gift. What the heck! So, I conveniently reminded her that "Dad doesn't get you anything because he knows that you'd help yourself to his money and buy yourself a gift!!!" My mom giggled like a child.
Oh my goodness...One of the perils of having a homemaker as a wife.
I asked my mom if we would be celebrating my graduation upon my return and she asked me to pick a location. To which, I responded with...
"I would like to dine in your stomach, where there's a lot of good food."
(Loud roar of laughter from both ends)
I know, we make a rather childish and extremely nonsensical mother-daughter pair.
It's nice albeit annoying at the same time to have a mother that doubles up as a crazy friend. Actually, I reckon I drive her crazy on more occasions than she drives me nuts. I miss you mom!
Everybody, give your mom a fat hug today :)

I can't believe I'm finally reuniting with Ang tomorrow afternoon :) Time for an update on our Melb adventures! Hope this special girlfriend of mine will enjoy the slew of fun activities that I've planned for us! It's bonding timeeeeee.

Have a good mid-sem break guys!
