I'm living my dream everyday.
Nowdays people know the price of everything and the value of nothing. | Sunday, April 1, 2012 @ 2:15 AM

Time is too slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear, too long for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love, time is eternity.

Last weekend, my BFFs and I went on a foodie date with 面包! Heh, I'm tickled by this funny moniker for Brad, aka our favourite local food blogger. I was sharing with him how I often find myself at his blog whenever I search for a food/restaurant! After conversing on Twitter for nearly three years, we finally met for brunch at Food for Thought.
Photo credits to Ang & Brad!
It was my second visit to FFT. During my first visit, J & I tried their chocolate cake and we were not impressed. However, I'm glad that I tried a few of their savoury treats on my second visit to FFT!

Pesto chicken burgerrrrrr :)
This shot was captured on Ang's new s100 canon camera and I have a good mind to purchase it before I start flying. I am officially sick of lugging my DSLR around. It's been ages since I left the house with it! Neo knows me best that an item to my liking loses much of its appeal after I get my hands on it. Gotta make this clear though, this only applies to inanimate objects!
Do try their pancakes with dark chocolate and berries!!! It looked like a mess but it was sure delicious :D
After lunch, we headed to Brunetti for desserts! We had a few hits and misses...
Chocolate souffle cake: This was my favourite of the four items! :)
Lemon meringue tart: This was so disappointing...My taste buds didn't detect the slightest hint of lemon, no kidding.
Cheesecake: Its texture was perfect...it's your typical fluffy cheesecake!
Chocolate eclair: We were pretty puzzled because the cream filling didn't taste like chocolate...We couldn't put our finger to it??? Its filling reminded me of mooncake paste.

I love both of them so much! Can't wait to run the Nike BFF run with Neo in April :)

I felt bad to trouble B to take the outfit photos for me. Thank you so much :)
It's true, that is whatever our folks told us about eating more to grow taller...LOOK AT HOW HE TOWERS OVER ME! I think it's mandatory for a food blogger to have skinny genes. If you're wondering where all the sweet and savoury treats went...Look no further. Although he professed to exercising whenever he can, I think he's just lucky to be blessed with skinny genes. No amount of exercise can make a man who eats so much remain so slim...*skeptical*

This dress was kindly sponsored by Wafflesuitcase. It is a snug and comfy dress in a bright and cheery shade, which makes it the quintessential girly outfit that every girl should have :) It's perfect to be worn in our hot climate!
Dear friends, please lend your support and join their mailing list or LIKE their facebook page if you haven't already done so. I'm in love with many of their dresses, so much so that I bought three of them a week ago.
Last but not least, Wafflesuitcase is the brainchild of my girlfriend, Xinyi, so mark my words when I say that she's a reliable and efficient fashion heiress in the making :)
You'll get every cent's worth because it's quality meets expectations at Wafflesuitcase. I can't wait for their next collection!!! Yikes, I think my online shopping habit is back with a vengeance to burn my pockets and bust my budget.

It's the first day of a new month and I hope that you guys didn't fall for many tricks!
I'm not in the mood to pull a fast one on anyone this year...
Sigh, work is so exhausting and I just want to get this training phase over and done with quickly. Thank God for having the most awesome parents who are always so patient to listen to my rants at home. My mom always gives me pep talks and I am thankful for her empathy. She is indeed the most wonderful creation of God in this world.
Also, I have the most amazing boyfriend who cheers me up when I'm down, and I know that although he has yet to fully support my dream of flying, he will eventually come to realise that whatever I'm doing is part of a learning journey that will allow me to grow in many ways and contribute to a brighter shared future for us :)
Is it ironic that I'm happy to learn about J's sufferings in uni? I think that a man who is able to overcome difficulties in pursuit of academic excellence is definitely a keeper! I, for one, like my man to go through trials and endure hardship. It's like a security blanket for me because having witnessed how J is willing to slog so hard in uni, I have a growing sense of confidence that he will scale to greater heights in the corporate world :) I hope you're reading this, J! Don't ever lose the drive and thirst for knowledge, I have all the faith in you dear.
I love to rant to my BFFs too. Although they're busy with their own lives, I feel comforted knowing that they care enough to read and acknowledge my rants in 7th heaven (our whatsapp group chatbox heh).
I think it's a pity that I don't write as often as I did in the past :(
I hope to revive my passion for writing after graduation... I have a good mind to travel with my running shoes and mac if laziness doesn't get the best of me.

For those of you who bother to check this space from time to time, know that I'm alive and well :)
Do allow me more time to get back to your messages in the day...My mind is so preoccupied with learning during working hours that I often overlook or forget to reply text messages. Last but not least, I miss many of you, wherever you are, more than you'll ever know.
Have a lovely month ahead!
Lotsa love,
Serene
