I'm living my dream everyday.
A celebration of time, love, chemistry, laughter, tears and joy | Monday, September 12, 2011 @ 9:29 PM
Never knew I could feel like this
Like I've never seen the sky before
I want to vanish inside your kiss
Every day I love you more and more
Listen to my heart, can you hear it sings
Telling me to give you everything
Seasons may change, winter to spring
But I love you until the end of time
Like I've never seen the sky before
I want to vanish inside your kiss
Every day I love you more and more
Listen to my heart, can you hear it sings
Telling me to give you everything
Seasons may change, winter to spring
But I love you until the end of time
Hiiiii guys!
As mentioned in my previous entries, J was here for two nights!
On Friday morning, he woke me up from my deep slumber even before sunrise. I have vivid memories of our reunion as he pulled me into his arms for the warmest embrace. It was raining and he was drenched after walking in the rain. In that moment, I felt like the sleepiest happiest girl in the world :)
Fast forward to brunch time...
I brought him to Cumulus Inc for lunch after reading so many positive food reviews about this restaurant. Also, I like the "affordable" aspect of this fine dining place. Though it was like any other normal weekday noon, it was full house when we arrived at the restaurant. We waited for twenty minutes because I was adamant about being seated at a proper dining table. I wasn't willing to settle for a seat at the bar area, which might possibly reduce the enjoyment of our dining experience!
Warm homemade bread
No prizes for guessing which, between both oysters, J preferred!
Petit Clair
Label Rouge
J with his thick and long crop of hair
The first photo is a testimony of the brisk business at Cumulus Inc!
The waitress couldn't even snap a proper shot of us with steady hands because she was in such a hurry to serve other patrons :(

Foie Gras Parfait with Toasted Brioche
To date, this counts as the smoothest version of goose liver that I've tasted! It was delectable when paired together with their crispy brioche, which I presume was homemade too. I like how they refilled our brioche at no extra costs.
This is definitely a must-try dish at Cumulus Inc! We both enjoyed this dish tremendously :D
Slow cooked octopus with aioli, dehydrated olive
Another must-order dish at Cumulus Inc:
Tuna tartare with crushed green pea salad
I'm not a big fan of peas but they tasted so good with the creamy sauce, which oozed of cheese...

Kitchen charcuterie selection
This dish consisted of Pork terrine, Wagyu bresola with beetroot, dill and horse radish, Prosciutto di Parma, Sicilian salami and I don't remember the name of the duck dish in the centre of the selection. Anyway, all these fancy-schmancy names do sound impressive, but I thought this dish to be rather average, probably because I'm not much of a cured meat lover? I'd choose the metre-long Don Kabana from Coles or the famous cheese sausage from Taka food basement over spanish ham or salami anytime!
Roast Spanish Mackerel, organic onions, cuttlefish and parsley
I really enjoyed this dish because I'm TEAM FISH! Okay seriously speaking, the liquified parsley blended well with the roasted fish, chewy cuttlefish and soft onions. Loved it!
It's such a pity that we didn't get a chance to try their desserts because we were stuffed to the brim by the time we cleared our entrees and main dish! (Whenever J is here in Melb, I take it upon myself to stuff him with all the glorious food :D) Hope to revisit this restaurant to try their famous ginger pudding dessert before I leave Melbourne :)
After lunch, we headed to Sunny Ave (Shop 21/362 Little Collins Street) for J to get his haircut! Highly recommended by XY, we made an appointment with the female Korean hairdresser prior to our visit. Thumbs up for its peaceful ambience and the soothing background music :) Every little detail counts!

My bookworm Dao Ming Si...
Haha obviously, J had no idea who DMS is because he doesn't watch TW idol dramas. Meet my potato-eating boyfriend :) Erm, is it strange that after receiving a haircut from a Korean hairdresser, he can actually pass off as a geeky Korean? Must be the single eyelid and fair complexion, man.

Thank you for camwhoring with me so enthusiastically during your short visit here :)
The onset of all the lovey-dovey camera poses after one-and-a-half months of separation, though it definitely felt longer than that.
Anyway, I'm so glad that I chose comfort over beauty on Friday because the strong winds were relentless and I was already freezing my toes off clad in this dress. I swear I experienced too many dying moments! I can't imagine walking in a pair of 13-cm high heels in the biting cold. Sigh, looks like my attempt to learn how to walk properly in heels have to wait a little longer.

We both burst out laughing after the fourth photo was taken... What the heck, Justin Chew! Why are you such a sillywillypea!

I'm glad that I can be truly myself around you :)

Chewy is really such a kid at times... But it's alright, kid or not, he has my stamp of approval! :D
Maybe because I can be such a kid too.

Just remember in the winter, far beneath the bitter snow
Lies the seed that with the sun's love, in the spring, becomes the rose

私は彼と永遠に一緒に笑いたいです。

After a heavy round of camwhoring, it's time for tea! :) I brought J to Chokolait as it's my new favourite haunt for chilling.
Their lemon cheesecake is made of awesoomeness!

Dinner at Oriental Spoon, which is our favourite restaurant for Korean cuisine in Melb!
The scotch beef fillet was soooooo gooooooood!

Happy souls and tired smiles :)

After dinner, we headed home and this is what my bookworm boyfriend did until 4am. He worked hard on his accounting tutorial while I slept like a dead log! Although it'd have been more fun if I didn't have to share him with his books, I guess he's doing what a future breadwinner needs to do. BRING HOME FATTER DOUGHS, BABY! I never knew that my boyfriend is a closet mugger until I witnessed it with my own eyes.
I constantly lament about the fact that I'm two years ahead of J in the paperchase race because of his NS stint :( I guess this is one of the disadvantages of dating someone who is the same age as you but y'know what? I'll take this in my stride. Good things come to those who wait, right? I don't want to settle for anything less, and what I have is already sufficient :) The only way I'm gonna be contented is to count my blessings, many of which I've often overlooked.
Without a doubt, the next two years will be a test of our patience, temper and faith. If there's anything I'm looking forward to, it's gotta be spending quality time with my family and girlfriends on days away from work. I hope that their presence will fill the void in my heart when J is miles away :*)
Have a blessed week ahead guys!
We're down to the final six weeks of our academic semester before the arrival of our exam break. Hang in there and break a leg to everyone who has to sit for their mid-sem tests!
P.S. 12 more days to another sweet reunion with Angsie!
