I'm living my dream everyday.
His mercy endures forever | Wednesday, October 31, 2012 @ 11:24 PM

"In our daily lives, we need to believe that when we go through hard times, the result will be good. But when we're hurting, probably one of the most challenging things for us to remember is that God is going to work it out for our good."

WORD | Sunday, May 20, 2012 @ 7:08 PM

I was bored stiff catching up on my rest, browsing through Cleo, checking out my fridge at regular intervals on a slow and lazy noon after a heavy dim sum lunch with my folks...

So I doodled on a piece of paper (like the good old days while living down under).

It is a quote that resonates well with me.

I enjoy reading his novels.

IF ONLY LIFE COULD BE LIKE THE MOVIES | Wednesday, May 9, 2012 @ 11:36 AM

"There are few people whom I really love, and still fewer of whom I think well. The more I see of the world, the more am I dissatisfied with it; and every day confirms my belief of the inconsistency of all human characters, and of the little dependence that can be placed on the appearance of merit or sense."

Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice

A MIND OF MY OWN | Sunday, May 6, 2012 @ 11:00 AM

A friend snob:

When someone moves to a different place, but refuses to make new friends because he/she feels that these new people are not good enough and could never compare to their old friends.

Life is how you make/break it | Sunday, April 29, 2012 @ 8:04 PM

Once upon a time, there was a boy who lived in a house across the field, from a girl who no longer exists. They made up a thousand games. She was queen and he was king. In the autumn light her hair shone like a crown. They collected the world in small handfuls, and when the sky grew dark, they parted with leaves in their hair."

ALL GOOD THINGS | Sunday, April 22, 2012 @ 11:22 AM

"How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard."
A. A. Milne, Winne the Pooh

I don't miss my life in Melbourne per se.
I miss the beautiful memories I made there.

Fending off fakery | Sunday, April 15, 2012 @ 10:05 PM

Genuine, good people don’t do good things because they want to be seen as a good person. They do good things because they want to do the right thing. Good people can be misunderstood, but good people don’t give up. Good people deal with distrust that they don’t deserve to deal with, but good people don’t give up. They continue to love with their entire heart despite being hurt countless times for being a good person.
So when someone acknowledges them for being a good person, it can be one of the best feelings in the world out there, to know that all the pain wasn’t for nothing… That it wasn’t all in vain.

PLAYING THE NICE GAME | 12:07 AM
I swear by this simple logic: I'll be nice, until you give me a reason not to be.

In all honesty, I think I'm a really easygoing person with zero airs -not sure if my online persona reflects this- which explains why I don't handle rejections well. I expect strangers who meet me for the first time to accept me the way I am because I don't think it's hard to accept a person like me. Granted, I'm talkative and half of the things that come out of my mouth are jibbers...But I can hold a serious conversation when a situation calls for it, and yes, I love engaging in HTHTs.
It's not like I'm an empty vessel.
Or a rock.

I'm the kind of person who reciprocates kindness with kindness, love with more love, and generosity with appreciation/gratitude. I don't like to make anybody dear feel like they've been shortchanged by me.

That said, when someone disappoints me, I forgive but remember it for life.
Yes, tell me that this is nothing unusual. Women forgive but never forget.

With less than three weeks to go before I ditch my jobless status for my favourite red nails, I ought to spend my time wisely.
