I'm living my dream everyday.

如果我变成回忆退出了这场生命
留下你错愕哭泣
我冰冷身体 拥抱不了你
想到我让深爱的你人海孤独旅行
我会恨自己如此狠心

Five more weeks to Daddy & Jie! :)
( I feel like blogging about my 21st birthday party but I just can't get around to doing it, even with so much free time to kill these days...)

Life has been rather eventful lately.

Yesterday, a brilliant driver drove into our property.  She knocked down half of our wooden garden fence, which crashed into our living room wall, damaging a couple of bricks, our Internet power box and the window in the process. Kudos to her, really, for reinforcing the biased notion that female drivers are road hazards. Amy saw her using her phone when the accident happened... What would you expect her to do, at the very least? Offer us an apology, right?  She didn't, and she had the audacity to tell us that she had a doctor's appointment scheduled. According to Amy, the first thing that she said was, "How do I get out of the car?" (Err, doesn't your car have four doors? If your driver's door is stuck, you can always exit from the other door right? This isn't rocket science.)

Look, you caused us so much inconvenience and you don't even have the manners to apologise? This China girl....At least offer us an apology after you've recovered from your initial shock! You weren't the only one who got a shock. I was rudely awaken from my slumber, thinking that Melbourne was hit by an earthquake! It was such a loud crash and I felt the impact from my room upstairs.

Anyway, she was walking home today (turned out that she's our next-door neighbour) and I gave her a deadly glare. Thereafter, she looked away with a tinge of remorse (better be remorse and not ignorance) on her face. How self-centred a person can be is really beyond me! Grrrrrr. Hope our living room wouldn't be flooded when there's a heavy rain.

I think the renovation costs will be at least ten grand.
1) Replace the living room wall and window
2) Replace the fence and smashed Internet power box
3) Repair the badly damaged car

That said, thank God that nobody was injured!
This China driver really ought to eat makeup so that she can be pretty on the inside...

Yesterday was the first time I attempted weeding with the girls! We were at it for an hour. Haha, I woke up to a pair of aching thighs today.
Weeding = Squat, pull the weeds, stand up, bin the weeds x repeat.

Hmmm, I was so mad yesterday and ended up arguing with a service staff for my mobile phone operator. It was already so difficult trying to understand what they were saying half the time with their thick Indian accents (No kidding, every staff I spoke to was an Indian). Don't want to go into details again, lest my blood boils but I am so mad that my bill costs nearly $300 this month. Though I share half the blame, it's not entirely my fault!!!! The staff whom I spoke to JUST. DIDN'T. GET. MY. POINT. I cannot wait to return to Singapore, where 12GB of Internet data allowance is the NORM.

Come to think of it, this final semester has been one hell of a rollercoaster ride. From being flashed by a sicko to getting a jaywalking fine and arguing with the traffic police about his double standards (Haha, I admit that I'm a vocal person!)...Wait, this reminds me of something! We phoned the police after the accident yesterday, and they told us that they were not gonna make a trip to our house because there wasn't any human injury and the driver wasn't drink-driving/on drugs. Hmmm. In Singapore, the police will not hesitate to visit an accident site, no matter whether anyone gets injured or not.

You can't blame me for having such a bad impression of this city. Granted, there are many friendly people, good coffee/brunch places, nice sightseeing spots, and  interesting retail labels in Melbourne, but all my unpleasant encounters with weird/rude/inefficient people have tarnished the image of Melbourne in my head. Racism, injustice, inefficiency and outrage of one's modesty...

I just realised that none of these awful experiences have happened to me in Singapore, save for the inefficiency bit. Either I've been really lucky all my life back home, or Singapore is a better place to live in. From my biased point of view, I'm going with the latter reason. Keeping my fingers crossed that no other misfortune will come my way during my remaining time in Melbourne.

Okayyyy, I promise a happier entry next time :)

Have a good weekend guys!

P.S. 还爱你带一点恨, 还要时间才能平衡。
