I'm living my dream everyday.
Prahran Market | Sunday, June 5, 2011 @ 12:52 PM
Yesterday, I visited Prahran market with Elle!
It was both our first time visiting the market so we were psyched up about it, only to be somewhat disappointed because it turned out to be a small-scale market. Photos pictured in the collages are courtesy of Elle's camera, which captures nice photos. I am tempted to switch back to using a compact camera.

I guess what sets Prahran market apart from QVM is the presence of food sampling counters. Hehe, we tried various sausages, banana bread, yogurt, hot soup and what not during our tour around the market.
As compared to food sampling in SG, when more often than not, the food promoter stares at you after you've helped yourself to a sample, the food promoters here are friendlier and often smiling! Guess this takes the pressure off food sampling.

Lunch :)
Lucky seven and twenty three are my favourite numbers. I seem to be getting these two waiting numbers whenever I dine out. I received a 23 at Max Brenner during my last visit with J.

I had Spinach & Cheese triangles :]

Elle had Caesar salad!

Elle has the whitest, glowing set of teeth that I've ever seen on anyone! No kidding.
Anyway, from about 230pm, the prices of veggies, fruits and other perishable products that are sold in the market are slashed! We both snapped up several good deals before we ended our day with a hot cuppa.

I'm not much of a coffee person though, more especially when it comes to hot coffee beverages. I love my hot chocolate extra chocolate-y and extra sweet! Speaking of which, extra brownie points for cafes that serve hot chocolate with marshmallows for takeaway orders. Trust me, marshmallows will complete your hot chocolate drinking experience :)

I am so glad that Sunday is finally here! It means that the week is almost over. Everyday, it feels like I'm just whiling my time away unproductively as a student. I'm effecting productivity into my life today by starting on my research essay. Here's the question that I've formulated for my essay: How has the role of new media pushed the boundaries and changed the mechanics of traditional journalism? This is a major essay as it will make up 50% of my total grade! Wish me luck :)

MOBILE UPLOADS

One of the many photos that I have yet to upload from my phone. I should get down to doing so before I accumulate more photos during the winter break! I guess having 1200 photos in my phone does make it lag from time to time too.

Hi Ang! Hi Neo! Hi Genn! Please forgive me for putting up a photo where I'm the only one without a wacky expression :) I miss you guys!

I hate my fat knuckles with a passion. Fat knuckles make having long fingers redundant. A friend taught me how to crack them in Primary Three and I only stopped doing so when I realised how fat they've become, say five years ago? I still crack them from time to time when I'm bored or nervous. If you have a bad habit of cracking your finger knuckles, I say kick it soon! Better late than never.

I prefer having squarish nails to roundish ones but if I were to paint them myself, I'd be too lazy to file them squarish. Five more visits to my manicurist back home before my package ends. Doubt I'll buy another package because I wanna tighten my purse strings to save for a graduation trip to...Nihon? 日本に行きましょう!:) A wave of guilt just washed over me after typing in hiragana, having done zero preparation for my japanese exam in 18 days' time. Slaps head*

I can't wait to pamper my skin with a facial treatment when I'm back :]

Watermelon flavour is my favourite flavour when it comes to rock candies

Banangrams when I'm back, anyone? Neo, you're gonna play with me because you're my hairy twin so you don't have a choice! :)

Happy Sunday everyone! Fill your head with an extra dosage of positivity before you start the new week :)

P.S. It's nice and fun to blog everyday with so much free time on hand to kill.
P.P.S. Missing everybody heaps!
