I'm living my dream everyday.

"See there's this place in me where your fingerprints still rest, your kisses still linger, and your whispers softly echo. It's the place where a part of you will forever be a part of me."
Hi guys, this is the second part of J's visit to Melbourne last weekend.
On the second morning, I woke up early in the morning to takeaway beef pho for J, while he slept like a log :) I overlooked Springvale's beef pho while planning the food itinerary. He has been deprived of beef pho for a few months since his last visit, so eating his favourite pho while he was in Melb was more of a necessity rather than an option. (Chewy, you owe me one! I want to have the best chocolate molten cake in Perth :D Get that right!)
Love is that condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own.
I concur with the quote above. Somehow, observing the way he enjoys a hearty meal gives me double the sense of satisfaction from enjoying it alone! I guess it's the same for every other couple ;) Happiness shared is happiness doubled! Yes, I'm listing quotes at the top of my head again. Blame it on excessive Tumblr-ing and I must admit that I do enjoy browsing through meaningful quotes online.
He spent the afternoon studying while I took an afternoon nap and served him snacks and what not! It's a frivolous way to while my time away but I wouldn't have it any other way :) In the evening, we headed to Auntie's Dumpling for dinner!
It doesn't matter whether the setting is classy or not!
There is always fun in capturing memories everywhere :)
1 x fresh beef soup,
1 x stir-fried beef with rice,
1 x spicy Dan Dan noodles,
and
15 pieces of dumplings
later...
We made our way to the Flemington to get my favourite kebab wrap! :]
Who knew that the boss is such a friendly dude??? He invited us into his van for a photo opportunity when he saw me fiddling around with my camera. He was so cheeky while serving us! Extra brownie points for this awesome kebab joint and the friendly service that we received :)
It was so cold on Saturday night.
Just check out J's windswept hair in the photo below.
I was clinging tightly onto him for extra warmth while we stood out in the cold at the tram stop! Though I was freezing on the outside (think teeth-chattering cold), I was definitely feeling all warm and fuzzy on the inside. Aww, that's beside the point.

I remember tweeting "hate how winter came and never left".
Anyway, I'm glad that the weather has improved drastically since the last weekend! A more promising sign of spring's arrival.
We concluded our night on a sweet note with desserts at Max B! :)
Love love love camwhoring with J during long waiting periods!
Gotta love his sense of enthusiasm and initiative :D
We contend that Max Brenner's hot chocolate drink pales in comparison to Chokolait's! If you're in Melbourne currently, may I implore you to drop by Chokolait someday to try their hot choc and desserts :) It's convenient city location and "hidden gem" status are two additional reasons why you should check it out! Neo, if only I'd discovered Chokolait before you visited Melb!
I tried a different dessert this time round...All hail the chocolate brownie! Super chocolately, maximum enjoyment :)

They say the most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or touched, but felt with the heart. It is only our heart that truly understands who we love, how and why we love them.
We ended his final night night on a crazy note with photobooth-ing and homemade videos! Haha, we were performing "Give me everything", and he recorded a soulful rendition of "Queen of my heart". The first video is so hilarious because J started breaking out in a funny Indian accent halfway through the song. It was such a fun-filled night! Anyway, I'm disappointed that I'll be missing out on Westlife's concert in SG. I've been waiting for years for their return performance but as fate has it, I'll be in Melbourne during their concert date.
On the day J was scheduled to leave Melb, I'd initially wanted to bring him to Spotwood for a good brunch. Alas, my boyfriend-the-meat-lover would rather have a good meat feast over a Western brunch...Thus, we ended up having Korean cuisine again.

I enjoyed the spicy fish eggs casserole best!

We chilled at Chokolait in the final hours leading to his departure :)

In J's own words, "This is really hot chocolate. You can actually taste the chocolate in it!"
The richest and thickest 55% dark hot chocolate drink that we've tasted thus far, and without a doubt, the best version of it too! Considered us sold :D

Chaddy VIP sale with Bernice yesterday! So satisfied with all my shopping loot.
I need to swear off shopping for awhile and curb my addiction to all-things-chiffon. I'm gonna miss my favourite Aussie brands like Dotti and I.D.S!
Estella, if you're reading this, I bought a leopard-printed belt from Dotti! Go leopard preens :D
Thank God I have J, my sis and Dad to lug back my clothes for me when I leave Melb. Same flight yo :D I refuse to ship anything home because I'm not gonna risk losing any of my beloved clothes or shoes! Call me kiasu, I will not deny it

Today, I booked a pair of return tickets to Gold Coast! I'm really stoked about the trip because I want to conquer as many spine-chilling roller coaster rides while I'm young and relatively fearless! Who else makes a better companion than my fearless boyfriend? Guess this might just be my intended graduation trip with him since my plan to visit Japan has been shelved :( Oh well, I'm thankful enough that I'll get to visit Gold Coast and Perth after my exams :)

Today, I cooked Penang prawn noodles using the paste that J's mom gave me. The broth turned out to be really spicy and oily! As a frequent chilli padi eater, I was half-struggling with the spiciness. Imagine that! Who knew that Penang prawn noodles would be so spicy? Not too bad for a first-time effort, if I may say so myself :)
Hope you guys are having a great week thus far! :)
I've been so unproductive all week!
Love, Serene
