And when you smile, the whole world stops and stares for awhile...

CAFE HACIENDA @ DEMPSEY

We visited the restaurant during brunch time on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was crowded but we received good service from its staff. I like its current status as a hidden dining treasure in Dempsey...

 THE CHOW DOWN

Smoked duck salad. Alright, make that fatty smoked duck salad. If you're a fan of chewy duck fat, you gotta give this dish a go. Overall, this salad tasted rather exotic in a pleasant way but didn't quite give us a bang for our bucks. For its $14 price tag, I think I would have enjoyed one of their popular sandwiches better.

A definite must-try, this was the most impressive Eggs Benedict that I've ever tasted! Imagine this: Buttered muffin tops, crispy bacon strips, and ham; drizzled with yummy Hollandaise sauce and served with tangy rocket greens.

Great for carnivores like us, their heavy N.Y burger packed a punch with its perfect combination of ingredients: tender wagyu patty, melted Italian blue cheese (no foul stench detected), caramelised onions and sauteed mushroom (my favourite). My only gripe would be the messy devouring process :p

♥ FASHION WITH FOGGIARE #8

Forgive the awkward smile on my face which says: "The sun is unforgiving and I'm trying to put forward my best face with this pair of squinty eyes."

This Mesh Dress in Nude ($42.90) might be a little OTT for a brunch session but I'm a firm believer of "Dress to your mood" rather than "Dress for the occasion". It was a sweltering afternoon and I wanted to be clad in a dress that would put me in a cheery mood. Granted, this dress will be more suitable for a birthday dinner or a wedding bash...But it didn't matter to me.

The delicate design of this dress made me feel extra feminine :) I chose this piece in nude shade because it is time to pay homage to the natural shade. My advice is to pair it with a pair of black heels to break the monochrome look.

Totally dig the detachable satin weave belt for its elegant appeal. Best yet, you can pair this belt with other outfits! Will show you guys how I'm gonna pair it with my other outfits when I have more free time in Melb :)

Love the bottom mesh layer. If you're wondering, the tutu-bottom did not cause any itchiness or discomfort on my skin.

Good food and awesome company are definitely the main highlights of my weekends here.

Have a great week ahead guys!

P.S. I have many other food & fashion reviews to share! Stay tuned...

P.P.S. Did anybody see the gorgeous lace and chiffon dress that Mila Kuni wore to the Oscars? Also, I'm glad that Natalie Portman took home the Best Actress award. She is a deserving winner for her dedication to her craft.
