I'm living my dream everyday.
Life is like a box of chocolates... | Thursday, October 13, 2011 @ 6:17 PM
When life gives me lemons, I will throw them back and ask for a double chocolate chip cookie!
Hiiii guys,
I'm feeling a little under the weather today. Guess it could be because of my terrible sleeping posture last night. B slept over at my place and we squeezed onto my single-sized bed...Ah, I should have put on my clean sheets on the extra bed :( Sigh, I'm so glad that we've gotten our jap listening test out of the way. Hehe, we tried a new bagel flavour today! It's PIZZA (tomato and cheese) and it's finger-licking good! Every friend in Melb who is reading this entry, you ought to try this flavour! Sigh, I'm gonna miss my beloved bagels so much after I'm gone. Zy joined us for lunch too! It was good to catch up with him, albeit for a short while :) Everyone is so jaded because of school...Hope our one-day road trippin' plan during the exam break will eventually materialise :)
My head is now spinning from all the unorganised thoughts regarding my debate argument that is due tomorrow.
I can't fathom why I did not have enough common sense to inform my groupmate that it's impossible to elaborate on so many points in a 1,000-word argument? Perhaps, I was too ambitious then. Gonna battle a real headache writing a concise argument tonight. Thereafter, it's gonna be cut, cut, and cut! As a journalism student, proofreading is an expected forte but...your mind becomes so cluttered after spending hours constructing logical sentences, that proofreading becomes a real chore.
Environmental journalism is a real pain in the neck, which reminds me of a famous quote from Forrest Gump about life being a box of chocolates...and you'll never know what you're gonna get. Bleh, this is definitely one stink-bomb of a chocolate.
Yesterday evening, I encountered a flasher while I was making my way to the train station. He overtook me while I was walking, turned left into one of the houses, then jerked off and went "yeahhhhhh" when I walked past him. What the heck, seriously? Now that my initial shock and anger have subsided, I feel a huge sense of sympathy towards him. He really needs help. Thank God that he didn't lay a finger on me.
Y'know, everyone thinks that studying overseas is "fun" without any parental control nor restrictions. It is common to overlook the fact that it is unsafe for a girl to live in a foreign country. Granted, I'm living with three other Singaporean girls but more often than not, I'm on my own when I travel from one place to another for classes/ to meet my friends. Also, it is a widely known fact that Clayton, which is the neighbourhood that I live in, houses many international students. I don't know what are on the minds of those non law-abiding citizens, but if they think that they will get away with their wrongdoings forever...They are mistaken.
THE LONG ARMS OF JUSTICE WILL GET THEM SOMEDAY.
Justice will prevail.
Haha, typing "justice" reminds me of my silly pea of a boyfriend :)

That said, I do hope that my kids will take the conventional education route in future and enjoy their time in primary school, struggle through secondary school and JC, and study at one of the local mainstream universities. I will definitely scare them with my overseas experiences...that is if they refuse to heed my advice. Well, unless they're really bad at English or Mandarin -which I hope wouldn't be the case because I want them to be more or less effectively bilingual like their Mother :D- I don't think there is a valid reason to embark on the road that is becoming increasingly travelled...
On a happier note, it's 35 more days to freedom :)
For now, I can't wait for the weekend to roll around...God bless all!
